You can not walk around the grounds unaccompanied for safety reasons. You will be accompanied by a professional shooting instructor at all times. You do not need to hold a shotgun licence.
No you do not need to have your own gun, we have a range of 12 bore, 20 bore and 410 guns, different sizes and weights. We will help with that selection. Yes, you may bring your own shotgun and fibre wad cartridges (no plastic wads). Please bring your shotgun licence along with you.

The age limit is determined by the child's size and ability to handle a shotgun safely. We regularly teach both children and adults. While most men typically use a 12-bore shotgun, some women are comfortable with it as well. However, both men and women may prefer the slightly smaller and lighter 20-bore shotgun. For children, older ones generally use a 20-bore, while younger or smaller children typically start with a .410 shotgun. We normally recommend that children would have a good build and are aged around 10/12 years, however we have had them a little younger and they have managed very well. If in doubt please ring Bill Telford for advice.
Yes, we’ve hosted several corporate events. However, the maximum group size for shooting is currently 10–12 people. A nearby hall is an ideal venue to host the rest of your corporate day.
A single lesson is £95 per person and lasts approximately one hour. This includes clays and cartridges, ear & eye protection and public liability insurance. As the lessons are in private, there is no requirement for any particular clothing, we recommend
In-field game shooting tuition is generally £250 per day for the North West. Additional expenses may apply for locations further afield.
